Services

Depending on my current schedule I am available for the following services:

Writing

I have written a book for Packt Publishing titled ASP.NET Social Networking.

I am also writing articles for DotNetSlackers.com.

I am not sure how I happened into it but I seem to really enjoy writing! I guess this goes along with the fact that I love to teach and writing is simply another form of teaching. I currently write on various blogs (blog.andrewsiemer.com, blog.socialnetworkingin.net, www.virtualdnug.com) and forums (forum.socialnetworkingin.net, social.msdn.microsoft.com, www.experts-exchange.com) as well as produce technical documentation for various projects.

Teaching

I have offered formal classes in my home (we home school so we actually have a class room!) on various technical topics as well as offering the same classes in a virtual classroom setting. I have also hosted sessions via my VirtualDNUG.com virtual classrooms. In addition to putting on lunch and learns at various company settings I also find that I tend to be an evangelist on many development oriented topics while working at client sites (covering TDD, DDD, continous integration, automation, frameworks, etc.). Ask me a question and I will do my best to answer it!

Consulting

I have consulted in the web industry since 1998. I tend to work for companies with a large web presence of some form whether it is ecommerce, social networking, or any other form of high traffic data-driven site. I have worked on all aspects of this type of environment from setting up the infrastructure, designing the database, coding the app, installing continuous integration, managing the build server, etc. As with many people in my shoes my goal is to share new ways to do great things in a way that benefits your company's needs!
